Mr. Thanet was born and grew in the heart of an Indigenous Tharu community nestled in Devchuli Municipality -16, Rajahar, Nawalparasi (East) of Gandaki Province, Nepal, a rural area boasts a rich with cultural heritage and diverse landscape. Currently, on a study leave to pursue his PhD, Thanet’s research represents a significant endeavor to unravel the complexities of human-wildlife interactions in the Western Terai Arc Landscape. By utilizing Camera Trapping Technology, he aims to capture valuable data on wildlife behavior in response to varying levels of human disturbance. His work holds the potential to inform evidence-based conservation strategies crucial for the sustainable coexistence of humans and wildlife in the region.
